My name is Amy Igloi-Matsuno, and I am running
for Port Orchard City Council, Position 6.

I am a recent Business Administration Graduate of the Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington. I’ve been a Washingtonian for over 25 years, residing in and running our business in Port Orchard for the past three. I have been married to my husband Grant Matsuno, for two years, while supporting and encouraging each other for seven years altogether. Our company, Amy’s On The Bay, is located in downtown Port Orchard and we are members of:

  • Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce
  • Port Orchard Bay Street Association
  • Bremerton Chamber of Commerce
  • Washington Restaurant Association
  • National Restaurant Association
  • Association of Washington Business

I’ve been involved in community service since my sophomore year in high school with volunteer work ranging from Special Olympics to Tulalip Tribe Outreach to Military Affairs. I’ve served as a board member, Military Affairs Chair and Vice President of the Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce. I currently serve on the South Kitsap Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors and the Association of Washington Business Board of Directors. I am also a Government Affairs Ambassador for Sen. Derek Kilmer.

I believe in serving the community and was awarded the Cornerstone Humanitarian Award by the Washington Restaurant Association in September of 2008 for our involvement in community through Amy’s On The Bay. I was also honored at the National Restaurant Association with the “American Dream Award” for demonstrating “hard work and determination from diverse backgrounds. In addition, I was the recipient of the "Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty" recognition in 2007.

I have been pleased with the direction Port Orchard is going and would like to contribute my positive enthusiasm and experience in business and finance to help our city grow in a economically responsible manner, one that enhances the quality of life for all citizens. I ask for your vote and for your support.

Thank you,
~ Amy Igloi-Matsuno
